Pavement ants (Tetramorium immigrans) are very common in Montreal. They build their nests under pavers, slabs, and sidewalks, digging galleries in the bed of sand and rock dust. This activity often causes sand to accumulate on the surface and, over the long term, causes paver settlement.
Our approach aims to manage the nests located around the perimeter of the house using targeted baits, in order to reduce the pressure from colonies near the building while respecting the balance of the environment.
